Become a Friend or Kelpie!

If you REALLY dig kelp - and would like to assist the project in some way - then why not contact us and become a friend of kelp, or "Kelpie"!

There are several ways in which people may help the project including:

  • Talking to people about 'KelpWatch' and encouraging them to fill out the Kelp Survey Form.
  • Using your boat and GPS to record the distribution of Giant Kelp in your local area.
  • Record the presence of surface kelp while walking along the shore.
  • Record the distribution of kelp from a light aircraft.
  • Organising a dive or snorkel to monitor the health of Giant Kelp.
