WELCOME TO THE URBAN TREE STORIES PROJECT

Australian cities have more trees than people, cats and dogs combined. While dogs and cats are uniformly positive about trees in cities, some people plant trees, some cut them down and some cut down some types of trees and plant others. Knowing why people in our cities vary in the ways that they interact with trees is fascinating in itself, and will also help councils and others, if so inclined, to help provide the trees that are wanted and to help get rid of those that create social discomfort.

You can participate in our research by contributing your favourite story about a tree or trees in cities at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/yourtreestory

And by answering a questionnaire about how you feel about trees in cities at http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/urbantrees
